Ladakh Bike Tour

Day 1: Delhi – Leh (3,550m)

In the morning, take flight for Leh from Delhi airport. Enjoy the aerial views of the Greater Himalayas till the flight lands in the Leh Airport. On arrival at Leh, our representative will be there to greet you and transfer to the hotel. After lunch, we will proceed for a short leisurely walk around the main bazaar exploring several curio, cafes and handicraft shops. By late evening, return back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Ladakh Monasteries (90km)

In the morning after breakfast, our Ladakh bike tour guides will brief you about the riding conditions and other aspects related to bike riding in Ladakhi terrains. You will reach the scenic Lahaul Valley where you can witness and enjoy the astounding views of the snow-clad peaks all around. Post this, you will be participating in an acclimatisation ride to the sacred Hemis and Thiksey monasteries in Ladakh. After riding for around 90km, you will be guided back to the hotel for your overnight stay and dinner.

Day 3: Leh – Alchi (3,100m) (80km)

In the morning after having breakfast in the hotel, We will drive for some of the least explored places in Ladakh. Lamayuru Monastery, Moonland, Alchi Monastery, Magnetic Hill, Likir Monastery, and Basgo plains will be visited while riding through the exhilarating terrains in Ladakh. The ride will begin through the scenic Indus Valley, and will halt near the ruins of the ancient Basgo Palace and Likir Monastery where you can witness the giant Snake Buddha statue. Riding further, you will reach Alchi, the destination for the day. An oasis in the arid deserts of Ladakh, Alchi is known for its evergreen outlook and charm. Arriving at the destination, you will be checked-in into a guesthouse amidst a pictorial apricot orchard located within the close proximity to Alchi Monastery; overnight stay will be at the guesthouse.

Day 4: Alchi Bike Excursion (130km)

In the morning after having breakfast in the hotel. Today  you will be riding through some of the most thrilling hairpin bends of the mighty Fotu La Pass which is situated at an elevation of 4,000m. While on the ride, the bike convoy will halt at the pious Lamayuru Monastery. After visiting this sacred Buddhist enclave, you will be riding back to Alchi for your overnight stay.

Day 5: Alchi – Leh (90km)

In the morning after having breakfast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel and you will achieve another milestone as the ride will take you through some of the narrowest and trickiest mountain terrains of Yang Tang village. The ride will further pass through a nameless mountain and will take you to a sacred juniper forest called Hemis Supachen. Riding ahead, you will reach Leh city; arriving in the city, you will be checked-in into a hotel for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Leh – Nubra Valley (110km)

In the morning after having breakfast in the hotel, kick-start your bike and embark on the most gripping bike ride till date – a ride through the great Khardung La Pass (5,604m), the highest motorable pass in the world! Crossing the pass, you will reach the picturesque Nubra Valley, where you will be visiting the holy Diskit Monastery, and will be later checked-in into a guesthouse in Hunder village for your overnight stay.

Day 7: Nubra Valley Bike Excursion (150km)

In the morning after having breakfast, you will get to enjoy a full-day ride through the scenic locales of Nubra Valley. Beginning with a post-breakfast ride, you will be cruising through the Panamik hot springs and will advance towards the alluring sand dunes of Hunder. Come afternoon, you can indulge in an exciting camel safari across the sand dunes and add more your biking trip in Ladakh. By evening, you will be guided back to the guesthouse for your overnight stay.

Day 8: Nubra Valley – Pangong Tso Lake (160km)

In the morning after having breakfast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel, you will experience a steep climb through a trail that will take you to the towering Wari La Pass at an elevation of 5,300m. Upon crossing this enthralling pass, you will reach the great Chang La Pass at an astounding height of 5,360m that will take you to the turquoise Pangong Tso Lake. Arriving at the lakeside, unwind your riding gears to enjoy the mesmeric appeal of the Pangong Tso Lake that flows across the Indo-China Border with all its beauty and grace! Post this, you will be checked-in into a resort for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Pangong Tso Lake – Leh (160km)

In the morning after having breakfast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel and you will be riding back to Leh city. Arriving in Leh, you will be checked-in into a hotel; get freshened up to spend the day at total leisure. Afternoon will be free to explore the Leh Market or visit the Shanti Stupa once again; overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 10: Leh – Tso Moriri Lake (230km)

After having breakfast at the hotel, get geared up for an exhilarating bike ride to the eastern Indus Valley and continue riding to the Mahe Bridge. The ride will start ascending upward after crossing the Inner Border Line Checkpost, and will take you to the Namshang Pass (5,050m). Continuing with your ride, you will reach a nomadic land which also serves as the abode of the gorgeous Tso Moriri Lake. Arriving at the lakeside, enjoy its surreal beauty and enchanting charm before you will be guided to Korzok village for your overnight stay in a tent resort.

Day 11: Acclimatisation Day

Take a break for your riding schedule and embrace the charm of the Tso Moriri Lake and its vicinity. Later during the day, you will be participating in a short hike through the rugged valley to reach an ancient monastery behind the Korzok hamlet. During the day, you can also enjoy a cool dip in the turquoise water of the scenic Tso Moriri Lake and grasp in the fun-frolic of the day; overnight stay will be at the lakeside camp.

Day 12: Tso Moriri Lake – Tso Kar Lake (90km)

In the morning after having breakfast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel/camp, your biking expedition will take you through some of the driest trails and will pass through some of the sulphur springs. Riding ahead, you will reach the Pologonka Pass at an elevation of 4,900m, which will lead you towards the stunning Tso Kar Lake. A natural habitat of the exotic wild mongoose and a wide range of avifauna (birds), this salt water reservoir is among the highest lakes in India.  Reaching the lakeside, you will be checked-in into a campsite at an astounding height of 4,600m above the sea level. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the campsite.

Day 13: Tso Kar Lake – Leh (120km)

Waking up in the morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast and wind up yourself to ride through the second highest motorable pass in the world – the Taglang La Pass at a height of 5,390m above the sea level. Though the ride will ascend up, the scenic views around will keep you engrossed throughout the ride. After crossing the Taglang La Pass, the ride will start descending down, and after descending for around 2,000m, you will reach the city limits of Leh. Your biking expedition will wind up with your arrival in Leh; hereafter, if you wish, you can take a walk through the local market once again or simply explore the vicinity for the last time; overnight stay and dinner will be arranged in a Leh hotel.

Day 14: Leh – Delhi

In the morning after having breakfast, Check out from the hotel and transfer to Leh domestic airport to catch the flight for your onward Destination.
